About Us

The Windmill Estate Residents' Association was formed in October 1959 with the aims of representing and safeguarding the interests of residents and to promote good fellowship with other members. In todays ever changing environment, we need a strong association to maintain a vibrant presence in the community. We are non-political and non-sectarian.

An association of our size (incidentally we are the largest and most active in the district) has many issues which it raises with the officers and councillors of Broxbourne Borough and Herts. County Council. We cannot say we have always found a solution to the problems taken on by us, but we can say, that in many cases we have achieved a satisfactory result.

We have representation on a number of public involvement forums, including Police, Health and Neighbourhood Watch and contribute to the decision making process.

In Spring each year we hold our Annual General Meeting when the officers and committee are elected. The committee meets monthly to discuss all matters affecting the Windmill Estate and members are kept informed of current activities and future events by means of newsletters and this website.

Over the years we have gathered together some equipment such as ladders, garden rollers, axle stands, scaffold boards, wheelbarrows, and drain rods. These may be borrowed free of charge. Please contact us for further information.
